Abstract

Infectious diseases that often occur in humans are skin infections. One of the bacteria that cause infection in humans is Staphylococcus aureus. One of the plants used as an ingredient in traditional medicine and used as an anti-bacterial is a kecombrang plant. This research aims to test the antibacterial activity of leaf extract of kecombrang against Staphylococcus aureus. Kecombrang leaf obtained from Pandeglang Banten. Kecombrang leaves extracted with a maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent. Extracts of leaves are made in a various concentrations (100%, 75%, 50%, and 25%). The antibacterial activity test was performed by using the diffusion method to find out the large zone of diameter are formed to inhibiting Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The results of the antibacterial activity of the leaves extract of kecombrang to Staphylococcus aureus at 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% concentrations respectively were 12.67 mm, 14.33 mm, 15.33 mm, and 17.00 mm. The data result showed, that leaf extract of kecombrang with 100% concentration had the largest inhibiting zone diameter of 17.00 mm, among other concentrations. This suggests that kecombrang leaf extract have antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

The development of endemic diseases such as worm infections that are transmitted through soil is strongly influenced by climatic conditions in tropical Indonesia. The worms included in the Soil Transmitted Helminth are Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura and Hookworm (Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale). Ngagrong is a village in the highlands in Boyolali Regency. The majority of the population works as farmers, especially vegetable farmers. It is suspected that the habit of farmers while working who sometimes do not use personal protective equipment such as gloves and footwear in the form of sandals or shoes that directly contact with the soil and eat food without first washing their hands can give them a risk of worm infection. Intestinal Nematodes of Soil Transmitted Helminth in vegetable farmers In Ngagrong Village, Ampel Subdistrict, Boyolali Regency, Central Java. This research was conducted at the Parasitology Laboratory of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Setia Budi University, Surakarta in January 2019. The samples taken were stools and nails of 30 vegetable farmers in Ngagrong Village, Ampel Subdistrict, Boyolali Regency. The technique used is directly with lugol dyes in faecal samples and sedimentation (deposition) with 0.25% NaOH in nail samples. The results of the examination obtained from 30 faecal samples of vegetable farmers were found to have a positive percentage of results found in 3.33% of the Soil Transmitted Helminth Intestinal Nematodes, namely Hookworm worm eggs. In the nail sample, negative results were not infected with the parasitic Transmitted Helminth Soil Group with a percentage of 100% of the 30 nail samples examined.

This research draft is quantitative with sampling methods using Total Sampling. The samples in this study consisted of 86 nurses and data analyzed using the Spearman Rank analysis test. The results of the study showed that the number of respondents who were less incentive and good had a comparison of 43 respondents (50%). The most number of respondents has a good work motivation of 50 (58,1%). There is an incentive-granting relationship with the work motivation of nurses working in the inpatient installation of RSUD M. Abstract

Rats are animals that are susceptible to being infected with dengerous diseases because they like dirty environments. Hemintheasis spread by rats, namely hymenolepiasis.transsmision of this worm disease can occur directly and indirectly. Direct trasmission is caused by consuming water or food contaminated with worm egg while direct trasmission occur through intermediate fleas. The purpose of the study was to determine the presence of Hymenolepis Nana dan Hymenolepis Diminuta eggs in rats faeces and childern’s faeces in hamlet sraten, and to find out what percentage of faeces of mice and faeces of childern’s infected with Hymenolepis Nana dan Hymenolepis Diminuta. The method used is direct method which is macroskopis and microskopis and indirect method of sedimentation examination. Faecel sampling is done by simple random sampling. Based on the results of examination of 30 rats samples and 17 faeces samples the childern obtained result of second faeces samples of mice positively infected with Hymenolepisdiminuta eggs or at 6,67%, in the childern’s faeces samples not Hymenolepis Diminuta eggs were found. Whereas Hymenolepis Nana infection was not found in the rat faeces samples or childern’s faeces samples or with a negative 100% percentage.
